  5. This note announces my upgrade policy for the audio routines disk, 
  6. effective as of June 1, 1987.  This policy is subject to change
  7. without notice.

  10. 1. This disk contains the source code that appears in the AmigaWorld
  11.    article, modified so that it compiles and runs successfully under
  12.    both Lattice C, V3.10 and Manx C, V3.4a (with patch version 1.3
  13.    installed.)
  14.  
  15.    This disk also contains the text of the article as originally
  16.    submitted to AmigaWorld.
  17.  
  18.    It was my understanding that the July/August issue would appear
  19.    on the stands and in the subscribers hands somewhere near July 1.
  20.    I therefore expected to have a bit more time available to create
  21.    the upgrades that I wrote about in the article.  But alas, the
  22.    issue got to me (and you, it seems) on June 1st.

  24.    If you are an original purchaser, directly from DATAPATH.
  25.    to avoid having anyone wait, I have sent you this disk now.
  26.    Your name is on a mailing list to receive the first upgrade
  27.    free.  This upgrade will be mailed to you automatically
  28.    sometime near July 1, 1987.  (This policy is in effect for
  29.    purchases made before July 1, 1987.  If the upgrade itself
  30.    should become available before that time, the upgrade will
  31.    be sent instead of this disk and this notice will not appear
  32.    in the upgrade policy statement).

  34.    Folks who have obtained this disk through other public domain
  35.    channels can obtain upgrades to the disk materials as described
  36.    below.

  38. 2. Future Upgrades:

  40.    I will be implementing as many of the suggestions as I already
  41.    have received as possible, particularly those mentioned at the
  42.    end of the article.  Additionally, I expect that the article will
  43.    generate a lot more suggestions and questions.

  45.    I welcome both suggestions and source code that you might work up, 
  46.    using this code and its data structures as a base.   If you
  47.    submit source code, please let me know if it is acceptable
  48.    to release it to the public domain.   
  49.  
  50.    Any source code submitted will be appropriately acknowledged. 
  51.    (You can become famous!)   If you use source code
  52.    from somewhere, please let me know where it came from so we can
  53.    all rest easily regarding its usability for public consumption.

  55.    I will take all that I receive and try to organize it 
  56.    appropriately, and mold it into a consistent package.

  61.    To receive the next upgrade, send me a blank diskette with a label
  62.    on which you have printed your complete mailing address.  With
  63.    the blank diskette, please also send me a check for $5.00
  64.    to cover the disk duplication, and the mailing expenses.
  65.    Foreign orders please add $2.00.

  67.    With each upgrade, (which will not happen any more often than
  68.    6-8 week intervals), I will announce what kind of upgrade
  69.    you might expect the next time.  Then you can decide if
  70.    you want to send in another blank disk and upgrade fee
  71.    pending the next release.
